Information Security Job Market Report 2010

The Barclay Simpson Recruitment agency has released a thorough report about the Information Security market in UK that is definitely worth seeing (even if you aren’t based in UK).

Generally, there is an undeniable improvement of the situation over there, but 2010 still requires caution.

Some highlights:

  • New vacancies amongst our sample companies rose to 35 in the second half of 2009 from 25 in the first half.
  • The number of candidate registrations is stable with defensive registration down from 53% to 36% in the second half of 2009.
  • Salary increases are now rising from historic lows.

You can find the full report here.

PS: Thanks to Ruth Jacobs for allowing me to mention the report here.
