TITLE: Security Engineer/Architect

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years experience in security, including networking, Windows administration, Active Directory, and application security
  • Expertise in configuration of networks, Windows Active Directory, Windows Server/OS and ancillary services.
  • Experience in development of batch files, scripting, and other automation technologies required to automate the application of security policies to Windows and networking systems.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, MCSE-Security, Security+
  • DoD Secret clearance (desirable), or must be capable of attaining Secret clearance (required)
  • Familiar with Governmental and/or Military IT security requirements, mandates and policies (desirable)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field, such as networking, software, MIS or IT
  • JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position will involve designing, implementing, and supporting security aspects of the company products, working with product development engineers, field application engineers, key customers, partners and government stakeholders.

    Functions:

    • Ensures STIG compliance and other Information Assurance (IA) security requirements are implemented on products.
    • Supports IA testing of products at the Joint Interoperability Test Command (Ft. Huachuca) and other government/customer tests facilities.
    • Interface directly with DoD customers to define and interpret IA requirements, and articulate results to software and network engineering teams
    • Work with customers to meet DIACAP requirements and to shepherd IA-related “Authority / Certificate to Operate” and other documents.
    • Develops automated procedures for securing products during manufacturing
    • Provides input to product documentation regarding security features and functions
    • Work with Software Engineering department to ensure secure architectures and development practices
    • Work with Network Engineering department to develop secure network architectures, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, etc.
    • Work with QA department to ensure products are properly tested for security features and functions
    • Documents procedures for ensuring product compliance
    • Act as alternate ComSec Custodian for material possessed by the company
    • Assist Facility Security Officer with clearance processing
    • Assist with security awareness training for engineering staff
    • Assists in the preparation of export classification and product registrations with the US Department of State and/or the US Department of Commerce and ITAR registration and compliance.
